SPIN's Celebrity Bartender Fundraiser Great Fun

SPIN (Serving People In Need) had a great idea for a fundraiser Sunday night at A Restaurant in Newport Beach. The non-profit invited people from the community to celebrity bartend, and the event sold out with 165 guests showing up for the $25 Blue Plate Special, or in this case the SPIN Plate Special. Chef Vartan Abgaryan offered his famous meat loaf, fluffy mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts for that special price, or you could select other delicious items off the menu. Either way, $10 was donated from every meal ordered to the cause(Read more)


OC Register Simpluris Donation Article

Costa Mesa-based Simpluris, which offers services to attorneys settling class action lawsuits, recently donated $3,000 to nonprofit Serving People in Need. The nonprofit provides critical services, including meals and referrals to shelters, to homeless individuals and families. As part of a new partnership with the nonprofit, Simpluris plans to provide rèsumè writing workshops to clients. (Read more)
