SPIN Receives 2020 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders® Award

SPIN is thrilled to be one of two nonprofits selected for the 2020 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders® awardees for our work in the Orange County community to address issues fundamental to economic mobility. This recognition includes a $200,000 grant for SPIN, a year of leadership training for our executive director and an emerging leader, connection to a network of peer organizations across the U.S., and the opportunity to expand SPIN’s impact.

“As we consider many of the challenges that our community is facing – from the health and humanitarian crisis brought on by the coronavirus pandemic – the Neighborhood Builders program is a relevant and timely initiative to support the communities we serve,” said Allen Staff, Orange County market president for Bank of America.

This grant will support SPIN’s programs as we continue to help families secure housing, assist with on-going rent and utilities, and connect them with community resources to help them continue to maintain housing stability. In this tough season where we’ve seen an increase in new and former clients needing assistance, this grant matters more than ever. Thank you to the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for recognizing SPIN’s work and impact!
