SPIN’s 2026 Donor Appreciation Event at The Cannery Seafood of the Pacific

Serving People in Need (SPIN) shares a deep commitment to their mission to assist families in crisis, and end homelessness in Orange County. Each year, they are humbled by the support from donors that helps keep kids and their parents in safe, sustainable housing where they can be free from trauma, and thrive.

This year, thanks to the generous backing of both Curtis & Jill Scheetz, SPIN Board Chairman and President Emeritus of Total Environmental Management, and Ron Salisbury, owner of The Cannery Restaurant, donors were treated to an amazing evening of food and friendship. The restaurant provided top-tier appetizers, dinner, dessert, wine, and the level of service they’re known for, while country music legend, Steven Cade, entertained everyone as they enjoyed the view of Newport Harbor and a stellar sunset from the covered patio. Steven Cade won the organization’s Jean Wegener Humanitarian Award in 2024, and crooned to guests and board members such as the 2025 award-winner, Debra Gunn-Downing of South Coast Plaza, Orange County Superintendent, Katrina Foley, Andre Dhont of the Dhont Family Foundation, Hal and Laura Reisiger, Carmen Davis, Tom and Crystal Cook, Tom McKinney and Laurie Jacobs, Linda Black of St. Mark Presbyterian Church, SPIN Executive Director, David Wetzel and his wife, Kathleen, Charlie and Regina Granville, Maureen Flanagan, Al DeGrassi, Katie Domagala, Michael Gilmore, Wayne and Mary Lou Shattuck, and many others.
